New Website, OurChildrensHealth.com, Offers Free Half Hour Consult and Expert Advice about Drug-free Treatment for ADHD, Obesity, Asthma and Allergies

Carlsbad, California (PRWEB) September 12, 2007

Dr. Laura Thompson is so determined to provide alternative health and nutrition solutions to the health care crisis; she’s now offering free nutrition counseling on her website http://www.ourchildrenshealth.com

For more than ten years, her Southern California Institute of Clinical Nutrition (http://www.scicn.com) has offered health and wellness programs based on good nutrition. She has worked with children and teens suffering from acne, ADD, ADHD, allergies, asthma, autism, metal toxicity, constipation, depression, ear infections, eczema, fatigue, food addictions, PMS, respiratory infections, sinus infections, sleep disorders, thyroid problems, vaccine injury and obesity, to name a few.

Now she is offering free consultations with Doneta Lawellin, Clinical Nutritionist via telephone to visitors to her new website http://www.ourchildrenshealth.com.

Why is she doing this?

“The mainstream medical community often ignores or downplays the importance of nutrition in human health, despite overwhelming scientific evidence to the contrary,” she says. “It’s often easier (and more lucrative) for them to prescribe drugs or give vaccines, without regard for side effects and long-term health consequences.

“Not only that, the media often complies with (or even openly promotes) this approach. As a result, you and your family are not told about natural nutritional alternatives, even though they are often safer, more effective and less costly.

“By offering you a free 30-minute consultation, we want to remove all barriers between you and the knowledge and support you might need right now – especially if your child or teenager is suffering from the ailments mentioned above.”

The Southern California Institute of Clinical Nutrition (http://www.scicn.com) was founded by Dr Laura Thompson as a nutrition education and research center. Their facility also houses an integrated health and nutrition clinic and a natural product pharmacy.

Correct Health Solutions, a Fast Growing Company Set to Take Over the Nutrition Industry, Has Reached a Milestone in Customer Reach

Deerfield Beach, FL (PRWEB) April 8, 2011

Correct Health Solutions is a fast growing company set to take over the nutrition industry in the months and years to come, has reached a milestone in customer reach, logging their 60,000th customer. Combining innovations in clinical nutrition with new technology and the internet, Correct Health Solutions is leading the way in the new field of custom clinical nutrition.

Because there is no such thing as a nutritional one-size-fits-all, because each of us is unique, both metabolically and biochemically, there is a real need for custom clinical nutrition.

Correct Health Solutions has incorporated Dr. Emmanuel Cheraskin’s findings that minerals have interrelationships with every other nutrient and that without optimum mineral levels within the body, the other nutrients are not effectively utilized. Minerals interact not only with each other but also with vitamins, proteins, carbohydrates and fats. Minerals influence each of these factors, and they, in turn, influence mineral status.

Correct Health Solutions has integrated this with Roger Williams, Ph.D’s., published research data showing that children of the same family had significantly different nutritional needs. One child required several times more of a particular nutrient than the other. Adults of the same age and size in similar environmental settings also showed several-fold differences in their nutritional requirements in order to maintain health. Dr. Williams referred to this as “biochemical individuality.”

This unique pairing of well established but previously unlinked research is revolutionizing the clinical nutrition field. You are unique, and so are your body’s nutritional requirements. Utilizing urinalysis and health symptomology, Correct Health Solutions is able to offer what no other nutrition company can.

Correct Health Solutions is the first company to combine 20 years of clinical nutrition with technology to make custom clinical nutrition feasible, affordable and simple to obtain for the average person.

By working through a network of distributors and health professionals nationwide, the company is expanding very rapidly.

Do Your Homework Before Taking Health Nutrition Supplements

April 28, 2011 - 2:28 pm No Comments

Health nutrition supplements are generally used to support the body through periods of intellectual and physical effort or in the recovery period after some kind of illness. Normally, health nutrition supplements wouldn’t be necessary if the body can take all the nutrients from food, but since food intake could lead to deficiencies, supplements often become the only possibility. You are prone to getting malfunctions in the system if your diet is not varied enough.

Stress makes our body consume more nutrients, and this is why people who work under pressure often feel exhausted and with low energy levels. In such cases, the administration of some health nutrition supplements on doctor’s orders could make you feel revitalized. If you smoke or drink, chances are that your body could be deficient when it comes to the absorption and metabolism of vitamins. Yet, it is important not to use supplements without proper thought and consideration, because you can cause imbalances if you are not careful. Remember, only a doctor can advise you on an adequate course of action.

Vitamins and minerals are not the only health nutrition supplements you can use. There are so many other nutrients that you don’t get from your regular meals and you don’t even know that you have to compensate for them until the body sends very energetic alarm signs. This is the case with hypo-calcemia or with osteoporosis, not to mention magnesium, chromium or some other mineral deficiencies. You can detect imbalances and inadequate nutrients levels by blood tests. They are the most relevant for any doctor when prescribing some form of treatment.

Oily acids are one other problem with diets. Omega 3 for instance is not available in a regular diet even if it is carefully balanced. This useful fat can only be taken from fish oil and flax seeds. If you don’t consume enough fish in your diet, health nutrition supplements are necessary to support the body mechanisms. The Internet now offers plenty of alternatives for health nutrition supplements, but you need to know what choices to make.

Do not rush into buying health nutrition supplements for the entire family. Every age has its specific needs and a youngster will need different supplements to support growth as compared to a senior adult who needs energy to cope with old age and current tasks. Then, middle-aged adults require a different type of approach in terms of nutrition. Do your homework well before you start taking health nutrition supplements.

When buying health nutrition supplements (or anything else), insist on getting good customer service support during and after the sale. Check out the Customer Service Customer Support Update blog for the latest news and information on this important topic.

Can I go to University of Colorado in Colorado Springs to study health and nutrition?

February 8, 2011 - 11:06 pm 1 Comment

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/University_of_Colorado_at_Colorado_Springs#Campus_Buildings

Is this a good place to study health and nutrition and hopefully become a health teacher.

That link only tells us about the buildings on the campus. If you want to become a health teacher you need to get your degree in Health Education. Unfortunately, the University of Colorado in Colorado Springs doesn’t have Health Education as one of their education majors.

http://www.uccs.edu/~futurestudents/Majors.html

That link takes you to the list of majors that they have. The closest thing that have it Biology, but that’s not really that close to health.

They do offer a degree in nutrition and something called allied health completion. They also have sports health and wellness promotion.

You might want to look some place else where you can get your degree in health education.

Blessings

December 13, 2010 - 3:50 pm 1 Comment

I wanted to know what can i do/where can i work at with
1) a minor in food and nutrition
2) A certificate in nutrition & health
3) Both 1 and 2

I am asking because i want to add some type of fitness minor because working out is something i enjoy doing and it is something i would not mind helping others do.

Not that it matters, but my main degree is going to be a bachelor’s in math so i can teach.

You won’t be able to do much, unless maybe you get a job teaching Food & Nutrition in some grammar school somewhere.

Does anyone know of any good videos or movies about health/nutrition for preschoolers?

November 15, 2010 - 10:33 am 4 Comments

I usually just show them my nasty feet and say, "Skin viruses happen when you don’t go to the bathroom on time, or when you walk around in public toilets barefoot". Then I stick out my coffee-burned tongue and say, "A cold is a virus that crawls into your throat and rots your tongue when you don’t wash and dry your hands." Then I play peekaboo with them until they pass out.

Anyway, that sounds like a really complicated topic, and I don’t believe that there’s a lot out there covering healthy nutrition for the target audience of preschool. You’re lucky if you can get them to eat at all. But maybe turning someplace other than the TV, like a book, and finding something that shows a lot of people eating healthy foods…, the children will be interested in the story and start pointing to things, and the more mature children will mimic the behaviors of the people in the book.
