any research on collaboration model for clinical nutrition and public health nutrition?

November 18, 2010 - 4:48 am 2 Comments

If you mean clinically studies and how that relates to what a person should take. Then I suggest you look at Dr Ray Strand www.bio-nutrition.org i think. There are a few others and Lyle MacWilliam comes to a blended standard on seven studies in his book
Comparative Guide to nutritional supplements.

If you want some type of guide you can ask the scientists at this link

I have to write a research proposal for my scientific writing class, and I am having trouble coming up with a topic. I think my problem is that I’m not get a clear definition of what a research proposal is. Am I stating a problem and then trying to find a solution? Does anyone have any good suggestions on what to write about preferably something related to health, nutrition, exercise, or anything in that field. Basically anything that will not bore me to tears. Appreciate the help

I did a project on aromatherapy a few months ago

it was pretty cool

How do hormones, health and nutrition affect your skin pigmentation?

November 12, 2010 - 11:01 am 1 Comment

This is a very complex question. I can’t answer it completely without a lot of research, but this is what pops into mind:

The type and amount of pigment (melanin) in your skin is determined genetically and enhanced by exposure to the sun.

Normal hormonal fluctuations can affect skin pigment, such as the mask of pregnancy (melasma). Some diseases and conditions affect pigment, including yellow jaundice from blood cell breakdown or orange pigmentation from excess carotene in the diet. And of course anemic people tend to be pale, but I don’t think that qualifies as "pigmentation".

Health, nutrition, yahoo and society… Yahoo doesn’t have nutrition under the health category???

Who is responsible for this travesty? Medicine, diseases, diet and dental exist.

How can we possibly be missing the number one thing responsible for good health: nutrition? Are we really that far gone?

Is this Yahoo’s ignorant ommission or has society as a whole become this dumb?

hmm i never thought about that before…

but i do think yahoos medical section could use more categories such as sports medicine…

That’s so easy. They all go together. There’s nothing to analyze. :)

Can you help me with ideas to teach a lesson about health to fifth grade students? Thanks?

I need to teach three classes about health
the first is about physical health (nutrition, exercise, rest) the second about emotional health (dealing with emotions) and the third about dangers for health.Good ideas on how to teach that?

Made something with a video or cartoon characters. Get them moving or all participating in some way or another. Maybe get them to do some spider diagrams for each type of health, or ask them what they think is involved in each one. I guess it depends on the class really. Hope this helps!

I’m looking for ways to advertise (cheaply). I have a nutritional products that everyone wants and need but how do I get them to check out what I have to offer. I also want to donate 15% of my profit towards an organization, how do I go about promoting that?

Look into some of the resources on guerilla marketing. The traditional avenues are expensive, but if your’e willing to be a little wierd, there’s all kinds of ways to get cheap/free advertising.
